Customer rights?
I purchased a Jean Paul Gaultier perfume today from a Debenhams store in Llandudno (North Wales), thinking that it was an EDT spray BUT it isn’t a spray, simply the bottle with no spray function. I didn’t realise this until I got home, took the plastic wrapping off and looked at the bottle.
Am I within my rights to take it back to a Debenhams store in Chester, explain the situation, show my receipt and ask them to swap it for an EDT with spray function?
they have no legal obligation to refund or even exchange the product. It is open and you purchased it under no false advertsing, therefore the store has done nothing wrong, therefore you are not entitled to an exchange.
