CONFUSED about my revlon?
A few weeks ago I went to my friends house & for fun just used her revlon perfect heat ceramic flat iron. I already have a solia, a pretty expensive straightener. Surprisingly, the revlon worked well, VERY SHOCKED. it left my hair smooth & when i went out in the rain it remained perfect. I was in complete shock, it was a 20 dollar revlon & it worked like this! then i thought i should get it, im traveling to russia in the summer & need a cheap straightener to take with me anyway
i bought the same exact straightener from the same exact packaging. & i tried it. it works TERRIBLY. TERRIBLY! my hair wouldnt stay straight for 5 minutes & i went over one strand 5 times. I dont get it. How come my friends exact same straightener works better than mine?
Some flat irons work better after the have been used a few times…the ceramic coating wears down a little so more heat will get to the hair shaft. But other than that, check the heat setting…put it on the highest setting. I have a Curl Master flat iron, it cost about $35 and it works better than a CHI. I’m a stylist and everyone uses my flat iron rather than our shop CHI. I suggest trying it out. You can but them at Sally’s, check for the one that get to at least 400 degrees
